- Some splitting (checking) and shrinking can occur as the wood dries out
Cedar:
- Cedar is naturally rot resistant
Stained and maintained Cedar will last for years - Natural oils within the wood helps to minimize insect damage
- Cedar turns a grayish color within months until stained
- Cedar is less likely to warp or bow compared to ProWood
- Some splitting (checking) and shrinking can occur as the wood dries out
